Beige linen with interwoven sea silk, repeated pattern: peacocks, with a vase in between, 26 x 81 cm.
The object was bought in 1933 by the then Folklore Museum (Volkskundemuseum) Basel (today Museum der Kulturen) from the dealer Konietzko in Hamburg. It included a carder, spindle and yarn winder for the processing of sea silk, also from Sardinia.
