Men's gloves

Sea-silk, plain knitting right, three patterned rows on the back of the hand, thumb, forefinger and middle finger of the right hand are open. Small holes in the fingertips, traces of earlier restorations

These gloves were purchased in 1868 in Taranto by the entomologist Adolfo Targioni Tozzetti (1823-1902), together with the two ties (MS Inventory 44 and 45). His collection became later part of the museum La Specola in Florence.
