This glove belonged - together with the muff and the pointed cap – to the objects exhibited at the 1893 World Columbian Exhibition in Chicago, the second World's Fair on North American soil. Ward sold it together with other scientific objetcs for $ 95,000 to the Field Museum which was founded the same year.
